Creative Voices at NVCC

Come convey your thoughts, inspire others, practice public speaking, or simply enjoy time together with friends and neighbors in a relaxed and encouraging atmosphere. Share your own work — or meaningful works by others — with no pressure or expectations. From poetry and prose to songs and stories, creative voices have always brought communities together. Poetry nights and intimate creative gatherings are making a resurgence in coffeehouses and cafés across the nation, much like the spoken word movements that helped inspire the folk music revival of the 1960s- like Pete Seeger, Bob Dylan, James Taylor, Joni Mitchell ask started out in coffee houses.
