Celebrating Community, Connection, and the Holiday Spirit**

The holiday season is underway, and Newark Valley Community Connection is filled with a variety of activities, community connection, and plenty of festive fun. From book clubs to brunches to magical winter experiences, we have something for everyone. Mark your calendars—we’d love to see you!
Tappan-Spaulding Memorial Library Book Club – Wednesday, November 19 at 6:30 PM

Join us for an evening of conversation, camaraderie, and thoughtful discussion with fellow readers. Read a book of your choice with a theme picked out monthly and join to discuss and share. This month it's a forest theme! Whether you’ve finished the book or just want to enjoy the company, you’re always welcome. Feel free to bring a beverage of your choice to enjoy while we chat.
Line Dancing – Thursday, November 20 at 6:30 PM

Dust off your boots and get ready for a lively evening of line dancing! This is a fun, social, all-levels event—perfect for beginners and seasoned dancers alike. This will be our last line dance class of 2025, so be sure to come out and dance!

Holiday Wreath Sip & Create Workshop
This past Sunday, participants enjoyed a wonderful time crafting beautiful holiday wreaths while sipping and socializing in a relaxed setting. If you missed it—or want to make another wreath—our next Sip & Create Wreath Workshop will be held on December 14. Stay tuned for details and registration!
THANKSGIVING WEEKEND HIGHLIGHT:
Noon Brunch & Madrigal Choir Concert – Friday, November 29
This is the event you won’t want to miss! Tickets for the brunch and concert are $20, Concert only $10 and available at this link.

2:00 PM-Madrigal Choir of Binghamton
After brunch, stay for the enchanting performance by the Madrigal Choir of Binghamton. Their harmonies and seasonal selections will lift your spirits and set the tone for the holidays.

Holiday Magic: Winter Wonderland – Saturday, December 6
Make a full day of Holiday Magic in Newark Valley! Start you afternoon with us, but be sure to make time for the Village Lighting of the Green at 5 PM. Prepare to step into a world of magic as our Event Center transforms into a sparkling North Pole wonderland! From 1 PM to 7 PM, NVCC will be transformed into a festive indoor winter wonderland featuring:
Craft Fair & Holiday Treasures
Unique gifts, handmade crafts, and local vendors—perfect for holiday shopping. Lunch will be available, too!
Kids’ Crafts & Hands-On Activities
Fun projects children can make and take home. Activities like the Reindeer Toss, and Arctic Treasure Snow Dig for kids to enjoy.
Special Guests: Elsa, Olaf, and Frosty
Beloved winter characters will be available for magical meet-and-greets and photos.
Holiday Selfie Backdrops
Capture memories at our cheerful, themed photo stations.
Cake Walk Games Starting at 3 PM
Family-friendly fun with a chance to win a sweet treat.
Diamond Raffle & Basket Raffles
Don’t forget to enter our big Diamond Raffle and browse our assortment of themed basket raffles.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
We're looking for a few enthusiastic volunteers to help decorate or play our holiday characters, (Elsa, Olaf, Frosty) and to assist with kids craft activities. If you would like to be a part of the magic, please message us or call 607-308-1503.
