We are so excited to see our community growing into the vision and mission we all dreamed of at the start two and a half years ago-a place where neighbors can meet, creativity thrives, and everyone feels welcome. There is something truly special happening here at Newark Valley Community Connection. Every week, more neighbors are walking through our doors, trying something new, sharing meals, learning together, and building friendships. Our community is coming together around so many different interests — and we couldn’t be more excited.

Kick up your heels with Red's Line Dancing on our beautiful hardwood dance floor. No experience needed — just bring your sense of fun!

🎨 Sip & Paint with Nerissa — Sunday, Feb 8 at 2:00 PM

Enjoy a cozy, creative afternoon at our Sip & Paint event. All materials are provided — just bring your imagination and get ready to relax.

🍝 Community Monday Lunch — Feb 9, 11:30 AM–1:00 PM

Join us for homemade ziti, salad, and dessert — plus a special nutrition workshop and demonstration with Eliza Cook from the Food Bank. Good food and helpful knowledge all in one afternoon!

🫖 Tea & Gentle Yoga with Lindsey — Every Tuesday 10:00 Set up/Warm up, Yoga starts at 10:15

Our pilot program was such a success that it’s now every Tuesday!

Enjoy tea, community, and accessible guided movement with Lindsey, a certified yoga and fitness instructor with experience in studios, rehabilitation settings, behavioral hospitals, and work with veterans through the Operation Red Wings Foundation.

Chair or mat options make this class welcoming for all ability levels.

🍽️ Lasagna Dinner Fundraiser — Sunday, Feb 15 (2–4 PM)

Community residents are hosting a Lasagna Dinner Fundraiser for Jared Martin. Come enjoy a delicious meal while supporting a neighbor in need.

🔎 Murder Mystery Dinner — Saturday, Feb 28 at 4:00 PM

Murder, mystery, and mayhem return with a 1970s-themed evening of fun! Dinner includes Chicken Francaise over pasta, vegetables, garlic rolls, salad, and dessert.

We can’t stop admiring the beautiful work coming out of our jewelry classes. Every hook-and-eye bracelet, pendant, and ring was crafted by local students — and WOW, the talent is real.

Our community is full of artists, makers, learners, and friends. Something special is growing here at the Community Center, and we are so grateful to be building it together.
