May was full of fun moments and forward momentum at Newark Valley Community Connection and we are sharing some pics here for you—and we’re just getting started! Thank you to everyone who made our spring events so special. Here’s a look back, a look ahead, and some exciting news you won’t want to miss.

Children’s Bike Fest Our Second Annual Children’s Bike Fest was a big hit! The kids had a blast zooming through the course, and we loved seeing their growing confidence.

Raffle Alert! Didn’t win a bike at the fest? You still have a chance! We’re currently selling raffle tickets to win one of two brand-new children’s bikes. Don’t miss out—buy your tickets at any of our June events!

Mother’s Day Brunch We gathered to honor the mothers, grandmothers, and caregivers who enrich our lives every day. With delicious food and warm conversation, it was a beautiful way to celebrate the incredible women in our lives.

Valley Harmony Concert What a wonderful evening! Valley Harmony filled our space with beautiful music and community spirit. Thank you to this talented group for sharing your gift with us all.

Celebrate Summer Ice Cream Social – June 19 5 PM to 7 PM

Our events and improvements wouldn’t happen without the time, effort, and generosity of our amazing volunteers and sponsors. Whether you’re flipping pancakes, decorating for events, or donating services—we thank you!

Special thanks to Jared Martin for assisting with essential tree removal. Two trees were removed to create handicapped-accessible parking and improve traffic flow in our driveway. A third tree will be removed soon due to safety concerns. These improvements are just part of the ongoing work to make our space safer and more welcoming. Special thanks also goes out to Scott's Lawn & Landscape Care, as well as our neighbors, The Merrill's and the Sierra's for donating services for both lawn care and snow removal while we got our organization off of the ground.
