As we celebrate the holidays and welcome the New Year, all of us at Newark Valley Community Connection (NVCC) are filled with excitement and gratitude. Reflecting on 2024, we’re proud of the programs, events, and initiatives that brought joy, education, and togetherness to our community. None of this would have been possible without the incredible support of donors, volunteers, and friends like you. Thank you!
In 2025, we’re eager to build on our successes. Our goals for the year include expanding our programs, improving our facilities, and pursuing impactful projects like the development of hiking and biking trails to enhance recreation and environmental sustainability. These efforts require significant resources, and we need your help to meet our estimated $25,000 annual operations budget to maintain our buildings, run programs, and host community events.
We’re especially grateful to our generous supporters, including the Floyd Hooker Foundation, the Margaret Faulkner Truman Foundation, the Tioga Senior Citizens Foundation, NBT Bank, and countless individual donors who share our mission. Your generosity has allowed us to create spaces where connections flourish and lives are enriched.

Kicking Off the New Year
We’re thrilled to announce that our first event of 2025 will be our almost annual Brunch with Lessons and Carols on January 4th. This cherished tradition features music by local favorite group Valley Harmony and special guest Greg Keeler. It’s a beautiful way to come together as a community and start the year on a harmonious note. And on January 9th we will have line dance lessons and open dancing on our expanded (again) dance floor!
