At Newark Valley Community Connection, we are thrilled to announce the completion of a much-needed improvement project: the installation of brand-new concrete walkways! What was once crumbling, pitted paths that had begun to deteriorate, is now a smoother, welcoming surface that enhances the accessibility and beauty of our space.
This project was crucial in ensuring the safety and comfort of all who visit our community center. The old walkways had deteriorated significantly over time, posing challenges not only for our seniors but for everyone who walked them. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, along with local foundations, we were able to tackle this issue and restore the grounds.
These new walkways are more than just concrete paths; they symbolize our ongoing mission to provide a safe, welcoming environment where people of all ages can come together for events, classes, and activities. Whether it’s for a community movie night, an educational workshop, or just a casual stroll, everyone can now enjoy a smoother, safer experience.

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the Mildred Faulkner Truman Foundation and the Tioga County Senior Citizen Foundation for their invaluable support in helping make this project a reality. Their contributions toward our building improvement efforts demonstrate their commitment to helping us serve the Newark Valley community in the best way possible.
This project is just one of many steps we’re taking to ensure our community space continues to thrive and meet the needs of everyone who walks through our doors. We are so grateful for the continued support of our donors and community members who believe in our vision.
Stay tuned for more exciting updates, and be sure to check out our upcoming events this fall!
