At Newark Valley Community Connection, we continue to be inspired and motivated by the incredible energy of our community. Over the past months, we've had the joy of meeting so many new faces and reconnecting with old friends. It warms our hearts to see people coming together, sharing experiences, and creating memories. From painting, dancing and cooking to a fantastic community dinner, these past few weeks have been a wonderful month of creativity, learning, and connection!
Open Paint Night- A Burst of Creativity

Our recent Open Paint Night was an absolute delight! Youth and adults alike had a fantastic time unleashing their artistic talents, creating unique masterpieces in a relaxed and fun environment. There was laughter, encouragement, and, of course, plenty of color. It's always amazing to see how different each person's artwork turns out, reflecting their personality and creativity. We have open paint nights alternating with guided paint sessions each month.
Cooking Workshop -Warming Up with Delicious Soups
In the kitchen last week, we gathered for a cozy cooking workshop where participants made two delicious soups from scratch. The aroma of fresh ingredients filled the air as we chopped, stirred, and simmered our way to hearty, comforting bowls of goodness. Cooking together is not just about food-it's about sharing skills, learning from one another, and enjoying the simple pleasure of a homemade meal. Our next cooking night will be on February 27th.
Girl Scout Troop #40147"Lasagna for Love" Dinner -A Community Favorite

One of the standout events of the past weeks was our mouthwatering lasagna dinner, prepared with love by our local Girl Scouts. The meal was a hit, bringing the community together for a warm, home-cooked feast. The Girl Scouts did an incredible job, not only with their delicious cooking but also in serving and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all who attended. A big thank you to them for their hard work and dedication!
