Exciting Fall Events and a Big Thank You to Our Supporters!

As we enter the fall season, Newark Valley Community Connection is excited to share our upcoming events, filled with music, art, and festive fun! We also want to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Newark Valley Teachers Union and NYSUTRuns for their generous donation of $1,000, which will help support both our recent 5K Trail Run and future programs. Your contributions are making a lasting impact on our community, and we are incredibly thankful for your support!

Here’s what’s coming up:

### October 12: Pipe Organ Concert with Hilton Baxter

Join us for dinner and an evening of beautiful music on October 12, featuring renowned organist Hilton Baxter and guest musicians Lee Shepherd (violin, piano) and Julian Shepherd (cello). Enjoy the sounds of our historic pipe organ as these talented performers fill the hall with extraordinary music. We are filling up quickly, so make your reservations today!

### October 14: Monday Lunch & Equal Rights Discussion

On October 14 at 11:30 AM, enjoy a delicious lunch followed by an informational discussion from the League of Women Voters on the Equal Rights Amendment. It’s the perfect opportunity to come together as a community for both food and thought-provoking conversation.

### October 17: Paint Night

Get your creative juices flowing at Paint Night on October 17! Whether you’re a seasoned artist or just looking for a fun evening out, join us for an enjoyable night of painting an autumn scene with friends and neighbors. All materials are provided! Call and Reserve Your Spot!

### October 25 & 26: Haunted Halls Halloween

Prepare for a frightfully fun time at our Haunted Halls Halloween on October 25 and 26! Walk through our spooky hallways filled with creative scares and surprises. It begins a Family-friendly with the first hall and gets scarier for the older crowd as you move through the halls. Multiple opportunities to exit are available for the little ones. Costumes are encouraged!

### October 27: Halloween Cookie Decorating Class

Wrap up the month with something sweet! On October 27, join us for a Halloween Cookie Decorating Class where you can unleash your creativity on delicious, spooky-themed treats.

### November 16: Dinner and Dancing with the Dean Goble Band

In November, we’re excited to host a Dinner and Dancing event with live music from the Dean Goble Band. It’s the perfect way to enjoy a cozy fall evening with food, music, and friends!

This support has helped make our joint 5K Trail Run with the Northern Tioga Chamber of Commerce a success and will continue to fund our community programs.
