Spring has sprung and May is bringing the momentum! Newark Valley Community Connection is kicking off the month with a full calendar of fun, fitness, food, and festivities—something for everyone to enjoy as we welcome the warm weather and longer days.

🌟 TONIGHT – Line Dancing is Back! Dust off your boots and join us Thursday, May 1st from 6:30 to 8:30 PM at the Community Connection Center ( 32 S. Main St., the old Congregational Church) for a night of line dancing fun! Whether you're a beginner or have some moves under your belt, this is a great way to kick off the month, meet neighbors, and get moving.

🚴‍♀️ Saturday, May 3 – Youth Mountain Bike Festival Join us and our friends at Chenango Point Cycles for our first-ever Youth MTB Festival—a free, family-friendly event focused on fun and safety on two wheels!

🕚 Festival kicks off at 11:00 AM at the Trout Ponds Park on Spring Street.🎉 Enjoy:

• Jump and ramp clinics for young riders

• Tech/safety clinic to get kids bike-ready

• Free demo bikes (kids & adults!)

• Bike maintenance station

• Helmet giveaways, bike raffle, and lots of swag

• Free pizza!

This is a perfect opportunity to learn about growing biking trails in our area and support our growing local trail system. Come energized and ready to ride!

🌸 Sunday, May 11 – Mother’s Day Brunch (10:30 AM – 1:00 PM) Celebrate Mom in style with a delicious brunch menu featuring:

• Spiral Sliced Ham

• Egg Bites

• Cheesy Potato Casserole

• Belgian Waffles

• Fresh Fruit Salad and more!

🍽️ Monday, May 12 – Regular Monday Lunch Join us for our always-popular Monday Lunch at the Community Connection where the menu will feature lasagna. Great food, great company—what better way to start the week?

🎶 Saturday, May 17 – Annual Dinner Concert featuring Valley Harmony! Come out for an evening of food and fantastic local music. Our Annual Dinner Concert is a crowd favorite, and this year’s featured performers—Valley Harmony—are sure to delight.

Your time, energy, and heart made the event unforgettable. We’re so grateful for our volunteers and our community who continue to show up and support our mission.

All funds raised from our events go directly toward building improvements (there are many!), programs and expanding outdoor recreation and trail access in the Northern Tioga and Newark Valley region.
