As Christmas arrives and the holiday season unfolds, all of us at Newark Valley Community Connection extend our warmest wishes to our community—Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to our friends and neighbors.
This season, marked by generosity and hope, invites reflection on what truly brings us together. At Newark Valley Community Connection, we strive to be an open, welcoming space where anyone can walk in, feel comfortable, and discover opportunities to gather, learn, create and connect. Whether you are new to the area, have lived here all your life, or are visiting for the first time, a warm welcome awaits!
Newark Valley Community Connection is not just a building. It is people.
It is the board members who provide thoughtful leadership and steady guidance.
It is the volunteers who plan, set up, cook, clean, welcome, teach, and create spaces where people feel at home.
It is our donors and sponsors, whose generosity allows us to keep our doors open and our programs accessible.
And it is you—the families, seniors, children, and neighbors who participate, share stories, and help build community simply by showing up.
As we look ahead to the new year, we are excited to continue offering opportunities to gather, create, and connect. Upcoming events include:

Lessons and Carols Concert – January 3
A beautiful musical celebration to begin the new year with reflection and joy.
Monday Lunch – January 12 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM
A shared meal and time of connecting with friends and neighbors, open to all.
Gentle Yoga – Tuesday, January 13
A welcoming, accessible class focused on relaxation, movement, and well-being.
Open Paint Night – January 22 6:30 PM
A creative evening for all skill levels—come paint, relax, and enjoy community.
Sterling Silver Jewelry Workshop – January 24
A hands-on workshop offering a unique opportunity to learn, create, and take home something special.
These gatherings are part of a bigger vision. Over the few months, we have been developing a five-year long-term plan that will guide Newark Valley Community Connection into the future—strengthening our facilities, expanding inclusive programming, deepening partnerships, and ensuring this space continues to serve northern Tioga and surrounding communities for years to come. We look forward to sharing more about this vision in the months ahead.
We are deeply thankful for the many ways our community supports this work—through time, talents, participation, and generosity. If you are able, we invite you to consider making a donation at newarkvalleycc.com to help sustain and grow the programs and spaces that bring us together.
From all of us at Newark Valley Community Connection—Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and best wishes for a joyful and hopeful New Year.
With gratitude,
Newark Valley Community Connection
