Fall fun is in full swing at NVCC, and we have an exciting lineup of events for all ages! From spooky haunts to hearty meals and holiday cheer, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

👻 Haunted Halls – October 24 & 25, 5–8 PM

Step into a world of twisted fairytales at our annual Haunted Halls fundraiser! The first section is “not-too-scary” and perfect for younger children, while the deeper halls are filled with frights fit for teens and adults. Come if you dare — and support our community at the same time! Tickets available online at newarkvalleycc.com or at the door.

🍽 Complimentary Community Ham Dinner –Wednesday,October 29, 5:30 pm

Join us for a free community ham dinner at NVCC! Reservations are required for this event. You can call 607-308-1503 or reserve at newarkvalleycc.com . We would love to hear your ideas. You will have a chance share suggestions on events and activities you would like to see here at Newark Valley Community Connection. After dinner, enjoy a short and informative presentation by Matt Kistner and Ashley Hammond about recent changes to Social Security and Medicare. Good food, great company, and valuable insights — the perfect combination!

🇺🇸 Monday Lunch for Veterans – November 10

Our regular Monday Lunch returns with a special invitation to all veterans, who are invited to enjoy lunch free of charge in appreciation for their service. We’ll also welcome Joe Onofrio for a fascinating presentation on fishing for muskies in our local waters.

💃 Line Dancing Nights – November 6 & 20, 6:30–8:30 PM

Grab your boots and bring a friend! Line dancing is back for two lively November sessions. Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or just stepping onto the floor for the first time, you’ll have a great time moving to the music and meeting new friends.

🕵️‍♀️ Murder Mystery Dinner – Tentative Date: November 15

We’re planning a thrilling Murder Mystery Dinner for November 15—and we’re on the lookout for a few brave souls to join the cast! If you love a good whodunit and want to take part in a fun, interactive evening, contact us to learn more about the roles available. No acting experience needed—just enthusiasm and a flair for drama! 📚 NVCC Book Club – November 19, 6:30 PM

It’s a book club with a twist! Read a book of your choice with a forest theme and then join us to discuss and share! Feel free to bring a beverage to enjoy while we chat!In partnership with the Tappan Spaulding Memorial Library, our Book Club returns this fall! Join us for an evening of great discussion, new reads, and warm community connection.

🎶 Christmas Brunch with the Madrigal Choir – November 29, Noon

We’re kicking off the holiday season in grand style! Join us for a festive brunch at Noon, followed by a live performance by the phenomenal Madrigal Choir from Binghamton at 2:00 PM. This joyful event is sure to fill your heart (and your belly!) with the spirit of the season.
